General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Norethisterone can be used to prevent pregnancy after a possible risky encounter. In your case, because your periods are already due, you will need to have a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy.
If the test is negative you can repeat it in 2-3 days again and if it is negative again than it is sure you are not pregnant and your periods should come soon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
