How Long Does Pantocid Take To Alleviate Gastritis?

Hi, I have started taking pantacid HP since yesterday i.e. 18 May. I want to know how much it takes to start work on your problem because I have 3 doses 2 morning & 1 night but I am not relieved till now. I am still facing some blockage kind of thing from throat till stomach. Could anyone please tell should I continue this or consult some doctor if its is not working after 3 doses. Regards, Priya 0000

Hi,

Ideally, I would have liked to know what are the symptoms you are facing, and what are the tests that have been done so far before initiating these medications.

I am assuming you are suspected to have severe gastritis with H pylori positive. In this situation, 3 doses of Pantocid HP are not enough for relief.

The medication needs to be taken for at least 2 weeks, followed by Tab Pantocid twice a day. I would suggest the addition of Syr Digene and you may feel some relief from your symptoms of gastritis.

However, Pantocid HP needs to continue. If however, you have had gastric ulcers, the addition of Syrup Sucralfate 3 tsp 3 times a day is recommended as well. I have tried to make it as simple as possible.
