How Long Does Propranolol Stay In The Body?

I was prescribed propranolol 20 mg 3 times a day, for tremors. This medications did not agree with me. I cut it to 2 a day, then to 1 a day. Then I stopped completely. I have never had high blood pressure, but this medication has given me all sorts of side effects. How long before it is out of my system? I have been off today is day 3.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
The half life of action of this drug is around 12 hours. Half life means the amount of time your body takes to metabolize the drug to its half strength. Since it has been 3 days now for you, it is already out of your system.

But you must not stop medication without physician advise. Please go back to your doctor and get a better suited medication prescribed for your tremors.

Take care,
Regards
