Hello,
Thank you for your query.
If your bleeding is still persistent, then Provera is not working. Please see an
obgyn to confirm the diagnosis of
dysfunctional uterine bleeding.
This is a diagnosis made if everything else has been ruled out.
As you are still bleeding heavily, you need immediate medical attention.
I recommend :
-blood tests (
complete blood count,
thyroid function tests, clotting profile, beta-hcg level)
-ultrasound abdomen.
-hemostat meds to stop bleeding like Tranexamic acid
- a
dilation and curettage may be necessary to stop the bleed.
After the bleeding is controlled, further tests /imaging will be required to check for the cause.
You will also need to continue iron therapy for a few months to restore your body's storage
Please see an obgyn at the earliest.
Hope this helps and your feel better soon
Wish you good health
