How Long Does Sprintec Take To Leave The Body System?
How long does sprintec take to leave my system . I was switched from monnonesa to sprintec two months ago and have gained a lot of weight . Since I filled a prescription recently I can t get another brand for a month because my insurance won t cover another pack . I don t want to take sprintec anymore so I m going to skip a month but I wonder will this weight weather it be water retention or whatever leave my body quickly or will the pill stay in my system for a while ? I took my last active pill of this pack last Saturday . I m miserably swollen still.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Sprintec is a hormonal preparation, which could cause side effects in the form of weight gain in some people. This is mainly caused due to salt and water retention. However, this side effect is reversed most of the time spontaneously after stopping the medication. It may take about 3 months for your weight to come back to normal, provided you control well with by following proper diet, regular exercise and altering your fluid and salt intake. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
