How Long Does Tri-Luma Stay In The Body?

How long does triluma stay in your system. We are attempting to get pregnant again at 40! I put it on this evening and then read about serious side effects. If I used it for a month, without trying to conceive, could I try my next cycle? Or if I didn t use anymore could I still try this cycle.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Let me make it very clear that tri-luma cream should be used in pregnancy only if the potential benefit outweighs the potential risk.

This cream contains tretinoin which is considered to be highly teratogenic (serious harm to the fetus) if taken systemically.

But even if it is being used locally, it should be done only if it is highly necessary.

Please talk to your doctor regarding the continuation of this cream.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Prabhash Verma,
