How Long Does A Ligament Tear In The Leg Take To Get Treated?

I am 49 Male, had a fall on the foot path due to skiddy area, later attended by Doctor who diagnosed as ligament tear of my left leg and advised plaster for 3 weeks on my ankle joint. Now after removal of plaster, advised for physio for 2 more weeks. I still have some swelling on ankle joint... How long it will take to be normal as am a practitioner of Yoga...

ankles notoriously take a while to get back to full strength and some patients find that they never actually do. This is why physical therapy and rehabilitation are so important. It's not going to be an easy or short process, but with a couple of months of therapy, you can regain much of the strength you lost.
