Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Long Does A Person Take To Walk Post Surgical Repair Of Protruding Tibia?
My grandson has had surgery to shave down his tibia. His tibia was protruding through his foot, making it difficult to walk and causing pain. However, during surgery, he suffered a stroke to the spine. Paralysis has been the result. How long does it take for him to regain feeling and so he can walk again?
The recovery time from surgery is different from a patient to another. Depending on the type of tibiafracture you have the recovery time also depends on how bad the fracture is and can take from four to six months to heal.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
