How Long Does Bladder Infection Take To Get Cured?
My 28-year-old daughter just received ciprofloxacin antibiotic and phenazopyridine for a bladder infection. Do either of these medications interact with vitamins of any kind. Should she take probiotics a couple of hours after antibiotic? How soon after taking the antibiotic should she experience relief from the pain that she s having?
The antibiotic ciprofloxacin and phenazopyridine will not interact with vitamins. usually uncomplicated bladder infections takes about 5-7 days for a cure. If there is stone or obstructive lesions, then it may take time for the cure of urinary and bladder infections. Generally probiotics are not needed along with antibiotic. Probiotic are quiet costly and there are not absolutely necessary. As already stated your daughter may get pain relief 5-7 days provided it is not a complicated infections. If the pain is not relieved in 5-7 days, she may need investigations such as urine culture & sensitivity, cystoscopy, ultra sonagraphy of abdomen and pelvis.
