How Long Does Braces Take To Close The Gaps Between Teeth?

HI I am 30. I started getting gaps between my teeth and abnormality in teeth line when I lost a baby tooth on left upper jaw in my early 20's and then the permanent teeth was not correct fit. I have about 1 mm gaps in upper 4 my front teeth and single 2 mm gap in my lower front. Considering my age, how long would the braces take to close the gaps.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain firstly I would like to tell you that the faster and better results of the Orthodontic treatment for aligning and closing gaps between the teeth is done before the age of 25 years as after that the process of growth and development is complete and the if tooth movement is attempted it can take a longer times as well as satisfactory results may not be achieved..
Normally it takes about 1.5 years approximately for the orthodontic treatment to complete but can take a few months more or less..
In your case as you are thirty years of age it can take a longer time that is more than 1.5 years and can take around 3 to 6 months more for getting appropriate results..
You can consult an Orthodontist and get evaluated along with he can advise appropriate x rays and explain you better after complete evaluation..

You can also consult an aesthetic dentist and get evaluated as at times capping of teeth or doing filling with tooth coloured light cure resin over teeth to close the gaps can be done as an alternate to Orthodontic treatment..

Better consult the dentist and get evaluated and get proper advise and treatment..
