Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a cold for a full seven days which has subsided, except that I still have congestion with a productive cough. I also am asthmatic with cold; but, am usually clear of coughing except when getting a cold. Will I still be capable of infecting anyone after seven days with the residue of whats left of my cold?
Once the symptoms are gone you are no more contagious. 7 days are enough not to be contagious anymore.
Takin count of you being chronically suffering from asthma the cough may be related to it not too cold. You should get further evaluated by pneumology to listen to your lungs.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
