How Long Does Effect Of Drinking Lysol Last?

I and my wife had a fight yesterday. she shut herself in the bathroom and drank lysol. not much but in a quite good amount. She vomited within 5-10 seconds. She looks absolutely fine, no nausea, headache or anything else, but since yesterday night after the episode, she is been spitting every 30-60 seconds. I thought the foam is because of the lysol s chemical stored in mouth, but it s not ending. the foaming continues. She is still spitting. it is not quite a dense foam, but it s bitter than the spit. Please Please Help.

Hello dear,

Depending on the amount consumed, ingestion of lysol causes sore throat, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, headache, dizziness, convulsions, etc. which can appear within minutes to up to 48 hrs of consumption.

As your wife is having continuous foaming in mouth & associated spitting, it is advisable to immediately seek medical attention in Emergency Room for Stomach wash/ Gastric lavage.
Once the contents has been removed, further management will be based on the symptoms.
