How Long Does Flecainide Take To Leave Your System?
I have occasional paroxysmal AF related I think to my underlying condition of autonomic nerve dysfunction I took a flecainide tablet last night, which very soon stopped the AF, but made me feel terrible with extreme lightheadedness. I normally have very low blood pressure, for which I take midodrine hydrochloride. My question is how long does flecainide take to leave your system and is it okay to take a midodrine tablet in conjunction with it?
Hello! Flecainide is a drug used in arrhythmias. One of it's most important adverse effect is dizziness. Flecainide has a long half life, until 27 hours, which means it needs almost double of this time to be completely eliminated from the body. In renal impairment this time may increase. There aren't any interactions found between flecainide and midodrine. I hope i have been of help. Kind regards
