How Long Does Hematoma Along With Headaches And Dizziness Take To Heal?

Hi 5 weeks ago I fell on ice and hit the back of my head, it knocked me out as well as a hemotoma the size of a grapefruit. I was taken to ER CT/XRAY done results ok. Now the hemotoma is the size of a golf ball. I am still getting daily headaches, dizziness and I am having trouble focusing at times. I feel drained. How long does this hemotoma take to heal?

Oncologist 's  Response
Hi,

The swelling and pain of the hematoma will go away. This takes from 1 to 4 weeks, depending on the size of the hematoma. The skin over the hematoma may turn bluish then brown and yellow as the blood is dissolved and absorbed. Usually, this only takes a couple of weeks but can last months.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Monish De,
