Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had Irritis before. Not sure if i m spelling that right or not. I take cyclogyl to dilate my pupil. It works. I also take polymycin B sulfate, and prednisolone. How long will it take before the redness starts going away. And the infection?
Iritis takes 6-8 weeks to recover. Redness slowly decreases within a period of 1 month. The whole infection takes at least 2 months to fully recover. Please keep continuing the prescribed medication so that it won't recur.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
In my opinion and experience iritis can take up-to 8 weeks to clear up, it might take longer as well depending on your compliance of the medication. If you keep taking the medications on time, it will hopefully clear up on time.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Hiba Tehrim, General & Family Physician
