How Long Does It Take For A Scab To Fall Off Post Treatment?

my doctor cauterized my would with silver nitrate which caused a scab. he said not to pick at it and it would fall off naturally. my question is, its been almost 6 weeks and the scab is still there; should I be worried? I thought it would have fallen off by now, how long should it take?

Hello,

Although scabs generally fall by four weeks but in some cases it can take upto 12 weeks. In case you have no other symptoms I do not think you need to worry.

Hope I have answered your query.
