How Long Does It Take For Preauricular Pit Infection To Subside?
Hi.. I have a preauricular pit infection. The area is slightly swollen. There is no drainage of puss or anything of that sort. i am currently on enzomac, augmentine 1000, Flexon and Levoday 500. Its the 7th day today. How long does it take the infection to subside? I dont notice any significant difference yet
I would like to tell you that preauricular pit is a congenital defect. This pit has a tendency for getting infected from time to time. As far as treatment is concerned it only surgical excision of entire pit and tract. Medical treatment is only giving you temporary relief.
This is treated by a minor surgery and results are usually excillent.
HI Well come to HCM It is all depends the underlying pathology if you did not find any relief then some other etiology could be there and the treatment need to be given accordingly some time late response seen with such drugs and looking this you can still wait couple of days, hope this helps, take care.
