sir i am anuradha 25 year old.. i got married 20th feb 2011. last week i cheked thyroid ... its observed value is 30.37 and prolactine is 29.31. doctor suggest me cabgolin .25 mg and thyronorm .75mg. i have no kid ryt now. is it a serious problem.. and with in how much time i'll recover it pls tell.
Hello and thank you for asking! I can understand your concern. High TSH level may be a cause for infertility and even if you manage to concieve, it is not recommended because there is a great risk for malformation and abnormal pregnancy outcome. A high TSH can cause also high prolactine level. If you were a patient in my clinic i would recommend you to treat the Hypothyreosis first and to check the prolactin level after the normalization of TSH.
