My daughter (6) had blood vessels in her nose cauterized today in an effort to stop her nosebleeds. now, she has black/brown around her nostrils and on her upper lip, which from what I have red is probably from the silver nitrate. I was hoping to get confirmation of this and see if there is anything to do. Also, looking for how long we can expect it to look as it does
Noted the history about your 6 year old daughter who underwent nasal cautrization to stop nosebleed and have now developed black/brown around nostrils and upper lip. It takes usually about 1 to 3 weeks for healing to occur and to get cleared of such color changes. Occasional may need up to three months in some cases. Since your daughter i only 6 years old, the recovery is very fast. Do not do anything special, let body heal such things on its own.
