How Long Does The Alcohol In The System Be Detected?

Hi, my boyfriend drinks beer everyday. The only time that he doesn't drink is at work. I'm worried that his name will be pulled at work to do an alcohol test. He works from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. He stops drinking in the morning around 11:00 a.m. Can he fail the alcohol test if they give it to him when he gets to work at 3:30 p.m.

Slightly unlikely. You burn up roughly one drink an hour and that is a four hour gap, and it's beer. If he had 4-6 right at 11a.m. he's going to have more problems than just random alcohol testing. If he has had 1-2 at 9a.m. that's really pushing it. They have to assume someone is going to have a beer outside of work. The testing is especially for people having alcohol DURING work. Check with him but I doubt the testing is on the way in the door, most likely it is in the middle of the day... that puts a good 6 hrs between the beer and the test. You can get home testing if you want find out
