How Long Does The Effect Of Epidural Shot Last?

I recently had an epidural shot in my lower back. Usually I am fine but it has been 10 days and this one is still very painful with a lot of burning. I may have overdone it upon arriving home but I am worried that my nerves could have been damaged. Could this be or do I just need to give it more time?

Infectious Diseases Specialist 's  Response
Hello there,
I am dr.milan an infectious disease specialist answering your question.
Epidural pain at injection site is last for 3- 5 days usually.
Here you have much more time spent in pain. You need to see you consultant who have given this epidural injection. There may be some local damage or may be you have infection at that site. You need to go for local examination by your treating physician.
Hope i have given appropriate guidance to you.
if you have any query you can consult me anytime.
Give me star rating according to your satisfactory level.
Thanking you.
