What Causes Burning Pain After Having Epidural Injection?
hi i have had a epidural in c6/7 2 weeks ago for a prolapsed civical disk and still have pain and numbness down my left arm and also have a burning pain around the epidural area and pain around the frount of my chest and neck area should i contact my doctor asap or not
An epidural injection is a method that is used to relieve pain. But, you may experience pressure, tingling, numbness, burning sensation or momentary shooting pain in the epidural area, chest or limbs like arms, injection site pain, temporary worsening of usual pain, muscle weakness etc., after getting epidural injection. These side effects are usually temporary with full recovery occurring days or a few weeks. But if these side effects persist for long or bother you for long time then you should consult your doctor first for medical help.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
