How Long Does The Infection In Kidney Take To Subside?
Hi, my mom has pus/ infection in her right kidney. she take levofloxacin. after 2 or 3 days she get red rash on her body with itches. also she can t eat and feels like womiting and sh edid too. now dr. has change the medicine and gave her meropenem inj. ip. so how long she has to take this medicines. Also dr. has made one hole near to kidney on her west in right side. it is for pus or infection, that come directly by small pipe. two days was came by self now is stop and dr did sonography to check the infection inside and still thaere left. so how long will be treatment.

Hello there a 2 week course of antibiotics may be needed in her case..If pus culture and sensitivity done,antibiotic can then be changed based on the sensitivity of the infectious agent.Take care
