How Long Endogest Be Continued During Pregnancy?
Dear doctor
I am 3 and half months pregnant and doctor adviced me to have endogest-200 daily once at bedtime from my first month onwards. How long should this tablet be continued. I read that it should be taken only during the first trimester, and intake of it during second and third trimester is not adviceble. Since my second trimester has started, is it safe to continue this tablet? Is there any problem if its continued in the second trimester. My doc has told me to have it till the 5th month.

I have gone through your question and here is my advice. Endogest 200 is progesterone which supports the pregnancy by making uterine environment more favourable for foetus. It is usually given in first trimester to support the pregnancy, but can be safely taken in second and third trimester. It has no adverse effect on the mother or the fetus.
