How Long Is Taking Thyrowel Recommended To Control This TSH Level?
Hello Doctor, My gynaec advised me to take thyrowel. Last month my TSH was 5.58 this month it is 8.7. I was scared for taking medicine of thyroid because i have heard that once we start thyroid medicine then we need to take medicine of thyroid over lifetime. Can i start this medicine? What will be the dose time?

i understand your concern. yes you should start taking this medicine.
thyroid medications are to be taken life long once its diagnosed. there is no alternative for this problem. tablet should be taken regularly to keep TSH levels in normal range. thyroid profile test should be done every 3 months and the should be given according to it by your doctor. hope i have answered your question if you have further questions i will be happy to help you.
