How Long It Takes To Recover From Total Abdominal Hysterectomy?
Hi I am having a total abdominal hysterectomy with BSO on 1 April due to endo. I have several large cysts around both ovaries and between my womb and rectum, if I understand correctly. The surgeon has said it will improve my pain by 80%. I also have fibromyalgia. I am concerned as to what pain I can expect during recovery, how best to make the best recovery and also a bit confused as to what my best options are regarding HRT afterwards, as I am aware that it can cause the endo to grow back, but what are the impacts without it? Thanks in advance for your help.

The pain will start subsiding after the first week. Most women have complete recovery in the first 3 - 6 months.
