How Long Post Period Date Can Pregnancy Test Be Done?

Hi, i am currently 5 days late for my period. I have been to my doctor & she has said that by my symptoms it appears that I am pregnant, however i havent had a positive test result come back. My symptoms are - nausea, fatigue, frequent urination, tender breasts/ nipples, gone off of foods, funny metallic taste in my mouth. Does it sound like I am pregnant? & when is the best time to take pregnancy tests? Thank you.

Hi,

1. To see a pregnancy test to come positive you should at-least wait for two weeks as the HCG level rises exact after 2 weeks in pregnancy card test.

2. Accordingly, as you said your symptoms mostly are in concordance with pregnancy.

3. you doctor can also confirm it by transvaginal ultrasound at 6 weeks of pregnancy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
