General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Bactclov is antibiotics. Though most of the fever in children is caused by viral infection and do not need antibiotics.

However, if this has been started you should complete the course as advised by a doctor even if the fever is settled.

Using antibiotics for short duration may induce resistance to them so it's necessary to complete the course.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
