Hello there, To answer your question, you may need to take the medicines for life. Usually these medicines are for conditions which get worse on stopping the medicines. However it all depends on your primary condition. Glucored forte the medicine for your diabetes, needs to be taken for a long time and it depends on your sugars as to whether you need that alone or anything else needs to be added. It would have helped to know your age as a blood sugar of 200 after food is not ideal control. Please discuss with your prescribing physician about any additions in medicines that could help you to bring blood sugars to around 180. Glucored Forte contains a combination of medicine called Metformin and Glibenclamide. Change of medications can be decided based on your blood sugar control and any side effects if any, like frequent low sugars. Your doctor will be able to guide through the same after getting a few blood tests. Hope this helps. Take care.
