Suggest Treatment For Diabetes
I am a diabetic patient for the last 20 years. I am taking insuline injection (lantus) 40 units daily and istamet tablets 500+1000 twice aday. Before this I was taking glucored forte. I just want to know which medicine is better and having less side effects. Thanks and awaitong your valuable advice.

Badically all medicines have some or other side effects and hence it is more important for you to give more attention in getting the blood sugar levels well controlled.
ISTAMET is a newer medication and has less side effects as compared to glucored forte and more over SITAGLIPTIN present in ISTAMET is a good salt which helps in preserving Beta cell functions in long run.
Observe proper dietary control and do regular aerobic exercises.
