Hi
greetings. It is very difficult to say how long you will need treatment, because each patient and nature of infection will be different.
Ideally prostatic secretions has to be collected after a massage and tested after every course of antibiotics.
culture of semen or urine will not be conclusive always.
Hence we have to treat according to the symptoms.
In some patients prolonged treatment may be required.
So you can discuss with your urologist. hope you are convinced. Regards
