Hello,

Krimson 35, most commonly known as Diane-35, is used for PCOD to help regularize the periods. It is also used for contraception which means that it would prevent pregnancy as well.

If she wants to conceive then she will need to use an alternative treatment method for her PCOD. PCOD can be treated by:
1) Diet changes and change in activity. In some women, weight loss for any excess weight, if present, is enough to regularize the periods and help with conception.

(2) Metformin. This medication is commonly used for diabetics or prediabetics (people heading toward diabetes). PCOD causes the body to be resistant to its own insulin, metformin decreases insulin resistance and this is the reason it is used in this condition.

(3) Clomiphene. If weight loss and the use of Metformin are not enough then she can use medication to help with ovulation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
