How Long Should Levoday 500 Be Taken For Diagnosis Of Bacteria In Urine?

Hello,
My urine culture and routine reports weren't normal. There was Pseudomonas bacteria (+++) of greater than 1lakh (100,000)/ml. I have been prescribed to take Levoday 500 for 28 days. Just wanted to ensure if its ok take such medicine (Anti-biotic) for 4 weeks.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Levoday contains Levofloxacin(500 mg). It is a safer antibiotic & can be taken for a long period to treat urinary tract infection. It has also good activity against pseudomonas bacteria.
I would suggest you to take Levoday 500 for 28 days as prescribed by your doctor. You should also drink ample amount of water. Probiotic drink like curd, yoghurt, etc would also be helpful.
A urine test is re- advised after a 2 week dose & then dose adjustment can be done.
