Hello,

Lipaglyn or Saroglitazar is a new drug developed in India and currently only approved in India. The drug had shown successful and positive results in the Clinical trials. However, long term use and outcome are yet to be determined with global studies.

Now, coming to your case in particular. Since, you have got good results using the drug, I suggest you can continue using the drug. But, not necessarily lifelong. Cholesterol and Triglycerides in particular can be controlled with good Blood Glucose control and lifestyle changes with proper diet and exercise.

I would suggest you take professional help to develop a diet and exercise regime so that in the long run you are not drug dependent to control cholesterol and you can gradually wean off the drug.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
