How Long Should I Take Medication For Ring Worm To Cure?

Hello, I ve been diagnosed with ringworm from my general doctor and he prescribed creams clotrimazole with benathasone I m not sure if that s the spelling. But I started to get more ringworms he prescribed terbinafine 250 mg and I ve only been on this medicine for 9 days. I think there are still more ringworms growing out and the other ones have dried up and turned brown I have fair skin so they look brown and dry. They are also peeling a little bit. How long will it take for me to see results? Is it normal for me to keep getting more even though Im taking medicine for it? For the ringworm to stop stop growing and go away? I m really scared I was reading other articles and they described ezcema like this too. I m so scared. Please help me.

Welcome to HCM, as per your query, You have ringworm. Your doctor prescribed clotrimazole cream which is fine. The other drug Terbinafine is also good antifungal drug. Ring worm can take as many as 2-3 weeks to resolve completely. Topical creams should be continued for a week after the lesion is resolved.
Avoid sharing clothing, sports equipment, towels, or sheets.Avoid touching pets , as they are often carriers of the fungus. Maintain hygiene.
Don't worry You will be fine.
