How Long To Refrain From Intercourse After Removal Of Ovary And Tubes?

I had my left ovary and both tubes removed thru laprascopy on Sept 19th, I'm back at work and doing pretty well, my belly button feels tight and tender at times and my right incision is sensitive but looks like healing well - was wondering how long I am to refrain from intercourse, Ive already had a cycle and my post op and dr didnt mention to continue refraining, but when I did have intercourse it felt uncomfortable and almost raw/knawing feeling with the act, and after I felt very sore/burning inside for a bit. Is this normal? also my husband said he can feel a rough area and was concerned we should have waited longer than 3 wks?

Hi,thanks for writing..
I would suggest a rest of 6 weeks. After uterus removal 2 months abstinence is advised... It will take some time for hormones to get back to normal. That is why the raw feeling while having sex.. Initially during sex after 6 weeks there will be difficulty.. Apply lubricants during intercourse during sex. Hope I have answered your query.. Good day
