How Long Will It Take For Prep H To Treat External Hemorrhoid?

I am twenty year old male and I'm pretty sure I have a external hemorrhoid. It came out of nowhere and I just noticed it. I am embarrassed by it and I was wondering do I need to see a doctor to treat it or will it go away if I use some cream. Prep H to be exact how long till it goes away and what should I do? Like I said its embarrassing and I don't want to tell anybody its not effecting my ability to use the bathroom but its definitely a nuisance that I want gone.

Treatment for external hemorrhoids depends on the severity of the condition. If it is minimal, then Prep H associated with over-the-counter stool softeners and a high fiber diet could be of help. But if the condition is severe, surgical excision would be indicated.
