How Long Will It Take To Cure From Nneurocysticercosis?
Sir, I am suffering form Nneurocysticercosis since 1 year, I had fit 2 times in one year. The doctor has advice me to take Encorate chrono ( 500+X+1000) and rivotril (x+x+.25) and calspen (X+X+1000) mg daily. Is is correct medicin? Pls advice and how much time it will take to cure

Neurocysticercosis can get treated over a few months to years. The causative organisms die but the scar remains and therefore it is advised that drugs to prevent the fits be continued for atleast three years after the last episode of a fit. Then a repeat CT scan or MRI of the brain can be done to see the recovery and progress of the lesions. So take these medicines as advised atleast for 3 years.
