How Long Will It Take To Cure Hyperthyroid Symptoms?
I have areally mild hypothyroidism and I diagnosed in Apri. I took levothroxine 50mcg for 10 days and I got overmedicated but my blood test showed that my t3 t4 tsh are close to normal but after stopping it for six days I am still having sumptoms of hyperthyroidism .I am 32 years old before taking levothyroxine I was fine but not anymore. My question is that how long it will take to overcome on symptoms of hyperthyroidism ?
Hello, I read carefully your concerns and understood your query. The dose you have taken is considered low and in case of symptoms of over dosage ( high heart rate, anxiety, sweating ect) the dose is lowered to 25 mcg rather than stopped. It the FT4 and Ft3 resulted within the normal ranges than it is not considered over dosage but intolerance and lasts a couple of weeks up to 1 months. So i would suggest to lower the dose and wait some weeks. Best wishes, Dr.Mirjeta
