How Long Will It Take To Recover From The Lack Of Movement On The Left Side That Occurred After Hemmoragic Stroke Followed By Brain Surgery?
My wife had a massive hemmoragiic stroke years ago followed by brain surgery. She lost all movement on the left side and has been in a nursing home every since. Besides the lack of mobility, her cognitive skills have been good to this point, but seem to be failing. Can you tell me if this will continue and any idea for how long.
Hi, thank you for asking Healthcare Magic. I have gone through your query and understood your concerns. I really feel so sorry to hear about this. Actually, it is difficult to say with certainty when exactly that can happen. When certain parts of the brain are destroyed, it is difficult to recover completely. What can really help her now maybe physical therapy. In addition to preventing muscle wasting, it might help regain a certain degree of control on the side that is affected.
I hope that answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. We will be delighted to answer more questions from you. I wish her good health
