Doctor I am suffering from typhoid for the last 40 days. I have taken alopathic medicine and also homoeopathic medicine. I have taken all precaution in diet. I want to know how many days required to recover from typhoid. Also can i take bath alternate day. Please help me Doctor Yours sincerely D. Mohan Ram Rao Scientist
I am so sorry to hear about this typhoid that has not resolved fully. Typhoid treatment is typically 2weeks and recovery should be expected by this time. With 40days and no positive evolution, I will question if the diagnosis was correct or whether the right drugs were used. I will recommend that your doctors make a more detailed investigation to look for some other possible causes of your fever before settling on typhoid fever again. A blood culture and stool culture would help to identify the causative agent and provide information on what antibiotic is best to address this condition.
I hope this helps. I wish you well.
