How Long Will It Take To Recover Post Surgery For Broken Tip Of Pinky Finger?
I broke the bone in the tip of my pinky finger, near that joint closest to the tip. I was told to goto the orthopedic surgeon to determine if surgery would be needed since there is a piece of bone floating around in the joint. I was wondering how long it would take to recover from that surgery, and if I would have a cast on my arm up to my finger afterwards. Also, when would I be able to go back to playing basketball?
Usually in most cases it is needed 4-6 weeks to recover from a fracture. However, after the doctor has examine you closely it would be more clear about the time of recovery.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
