How Long Will It Take To Swallow Normally After Having Cervical Surgery?
Haven t been able to swallow since having Cervical surgery on c-3 March 10 2011. I was told that my epoglottis is in shock and will correct itself. How long does this take. I am very frustrated just want to be able to eat now depending on peg to survive.
Posterior cervical spine surgery may take 1-2 week to recover. But ant part of spine may take 3-4 weeks. Depends upon what procedure you undergone? How much is the infection is recovered etc. Please share your surgery report and MRI report with your doctor to see and guide you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
