Hi im dr.hema physiotherapist.

It takes 6 to 8 weeks for healing after pelvic floor reconstruction.

If diet is started early
you may eat too few carbs—and too few calories, your body will burn protein for fuel. That hinders healing.you need to take protein rich foods.
Protein from lean meats, legumes, nuts and low fat dairy are good source.
Protein digests into the amino acids needed to repair damaged muscles; your body needs a steady stream of amino acids to promote healing.

After surgery, adding moderate amounts of fats and fat-containing foods can help to improve calories.

And to avoid constipation and straining (Valsalva) with bowel movements, drink plenty of water, eat a balanced, healthy diet with whole grains and fresh vegetables
This will automatically help to maintain your weight and will not add to pounds.

Your body is your best calorie counter, so respond appropriately to your hunger cues. Eat when hungry and stop when your stomach feels content.eat healthy.

After 8 weeks with good healing you can start with low calorie diet with high fibre.

Hope the information is useful.
