My husband just received a steroid injection for arthritis in his back which he was originally prescribed neurontin (3200 mg daily) for because the pain was thought to be caused by nerve damage. After receiving the injection, his neurologist said that he didn t need the neurontin any longer but everything I ve read says you should not stop taking it cold turkey. His personality has changed a bit and he does have a history of prescription pain med abuse. I m concerned about what to do.
