How Many Cortisone Shots Is It Safe To Take?
Had microdiscectomy last October. Reherniated in February. Had 2 cortisone shots. Felt ok after that. Reherniated again a couple of weeks ago. Had one cortisone shot 2 weeks ago and will have another on Friday. We will try to manage with cortisone shots, but I ve heard you can only have so many. What are the limits?

In my opinion You can have two to three epidural corticosteroid Shots, repeating the treatment only if symptoms recur and if the first injection was effective. Repeated use of corticosteroid injections may cause serious side effects in rare cases such as Nerve roots Damage, Degeneration, Infectious or non infectious inflammation of Spinal nerve (Serious side effects are rare, depend upon person to person)
