How Many Days After A Missed Period Can A Blood Test Confirm Pregnancy?

Hi my name is ellen and iwas wondering Iif a blood pregnancy test could. Give a false negative because my last period was March 8th and I have taken one home pregnancy test wwithshowed a faint line but the blood test came back negative could Iit be to soon?

* A beta HCG test of blood can detect pregnancy within 3-4 days of a missed period, while that of urine has ability to do so at 7-8 days period.
