How Many Days Are Needed For A 11.5kg Weight Reduction?
Hi sir, before joining the gym my weight was 94 and after joining for last 25 days my weight reduced to 91.5. i feel the whole day fresh, when i do workouts in the gym in the morning. In how many days or months can i reduce my weight to 80. can i say for 3 months?
Welcome to HCM! Dietitians have studied this question and have concluded that a 1-2 pound weight loss per week is a safe and maintainable rate of loss to shoot for. The first few weeks of a weight loss program, men especially, may lose more than this recommended amount and this is natural. You could lose a maxamum of 25.3 pounds at a rate of 2 pounds (or just under 1 kg) per week. 12x2=24 lbs or 10.9 kg in 3 months current rate of loss = 2.5 kg(5.5 lbs) in 25 days = an average of 3 kg/month So, you need to kick it up a bit to meet a 10.9 kg loss in 3 months, otherwise, expect around 9 kg loss if you keep working at the same speed.
I hope that helps you. Best of luck to you.Kathryn Shattler,MS,RDN
