I am type 2 diabetic. Age 60, current weight 240, 6 1 . Working on getting my weight down to 210 or so. My question is how many diabetes carbs , not total carbs, should I have per day and/or per meal and snacks? I use the MyNetDiary to keep track. Thanks
According to your age n weight u should have total of 240-260 carbohydrates. Being a diabetic u should have only complex carbohydrates not simple. Simple carbohydrates include sugar ,hoNey and jaggery. no juices as they contain simple sugars, nosyurps no jams and jellies. No fruit with more sugars like mango, banana, chiku, pineapple. Have more fibre like sprouts, salads, fruits, channa murmura to control sugar levels.
