How Many Hours A Day Does An Infant Sleep?

My baby is 10 Week..she oftenly goes to deep sleep we try very hard to wake her..even if she wake up, she fall back to sleep after a short feeding. Is this common? She rarely sleep at night. When we visted docter , he found out she has chest infection and mild cough, he prescribed mucolite syrup and mega-cv syrup ,both 3 Times each aday.He said to take it for six days.Now its 3 Days over she is better now should i continue the medicines?

3 days is a short time to treat a chest infection.cannot say in your particular case, but generally, the length of time is 1) longer and 2) given on the bottle.

And getting over an infection produces more sleepiness or the infection isn't over and the sleeping is a bad sign. Without an exam, I can only give general information.
